aMAYSing Kids Broadcasting Camp is a reading literacy and fluency program for students in grades 4-8. The approach to teaching literacy is by teaching television, radio, and sound engineering fundamentals.
Because of the generosity of the City of Toledo and the Greater Toledo Community Foundation, the summer camp and afterschool programming are free for kids.
The summer camp is held at various locations around the city.
Absolutely! in fact, we encourage students with disabilities to attend. This is a great outlet for creativity with a differentiated instruction approach.
No. However, a parent must complete the online registration form for each child attending. This includes disclosing how the student will be transported to camp.
Yes, a snack will be provided each day. In addition, lunch will be available for students courtesy of Connecting Kids to Meals. When completing registration, please let us know if your child has allergies.
Yes. aMAYSing Kids Broadcasting camp is offered throughout the year beginning in October. Registration will be announced on the website.
